Judy Reyes is not a regular mom — she's a cool mom.
The actress, 58, returns as Carla Espinosa in the Scrubs reboot, and she earned major parent points with her teenage son by doing so.
"He watched the entire show during the [COVID] pandemic, and he watched every single episode twice. He loves it," Reyes exclusively told PEOPLE at the Scrubs PaleyFest LA event at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on April 11.
"The kids in school love it. I'm so cool to his friends," she continued. "If you if anything's good, ask your teenage son."

While filming the reboot of Scrubs, which is also referred to as season 10 of the show, Reyes brought her son to the set, and there was one person from the cast in particular that he was especially thrilled to meet.
"He was so excited to meet Michael James Scott, who performs in Aladdin," the actress said. Scott, 44, has starred as the Genie in the Broadway version of the beloved Disney animated classic, as well as in the original Australian cast, the West End and the U.S. National Tour.

After more than 4,000 shows, Scott's final performance as the Genie in Aladdin the Musical is set for May 3.
"It feels so crazy," Scott told ABC 7 of the moment. "There are so many emotions running through me. It has been the honor of a lifetime to play a role rooted in joy, a show literally built on love and light and laughter."

Speaking with PEOPLE at the PaleyFest LA event for Scrubs, Scott said, "It never was on my bingo card that Michael James Scott would be in the revival of Scrubs, playing a new character. Are you kidding me?"
Scott developed close bonds with his costars, including Zach Braff, while filming the series.
He previously shared an Instagram video of the two singing songs from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat while on the Scrubs set.
"This is what happens when you put theatre kids on a TV set and give them five minutes between scenes. Suddenly it’s a full‑out production number," Scott captioned the post.
Scrubs is available to stream on Hulu.
